Computer broke down and it is now going again. I'm updating quickly in the middle of the day so no really deep thoughts are going on this one. We went to a Healing rooms Conference in Cleveland and had a lot of fun. Learned to know a few more faces.
We spent the last few mornings Picking up rocks. break-backing work so as to put more rocks around our gardens. Had Chicken and root-beer- floats afterward. Fun!
Applied for cleaning job @ Lehman's. Excited!?

    Waiting

I am addicted to food. A fact it is easy to forget until you start to fast.
I can hardy wait until things start to happen. Not kind-of but really. Can I swear? Please? Cause life is boring and dry even if it isn't. We went to a Robin Mark concert yesterday and to the beach. Had tons of fun, but I am still waiting for God to really show up dramatically.

Today I babysitted our kid's plus Debbie's two girls while Mom went our to eat with the church ladies. It wasn't fun but it was not fun either. In the beginning it was kind of a hassle for Dustin kept getting hurt. I finally put him to sleep so then I had time to do violin. When Dustin woke up I got him and sat down to rock him till he was Ok with playing. It was time to get dinner on but every attempt I made to put him down he squealed. Cheri came in then and said she'd take him but he said no and pretended to slap he. So she resorted to bribery. We have this large james Harriet Children's book complete with Picts. and she took that down, seated herself comfortably on the coach on the other side of the room and began to make animal noises at herself. I could see Dustin weakening. finally he made a move in Cheri's direction and i took him over to her and then went out to make dinner.
Labor day we butchered twenty-five  Turkeys.  We saved three; one for Christmas, here; One for Thanksgiving, here; and one for Thanksgiving in Wisconsin.  It was messy and dirty, but there were not to many flies and there was not to much grease. We plan to smock a-lot of the meat and to make some of it into bologna.

  • Hi, This weekend has been exciting. We went to NY to visit Steve and Essy and have church there. sadly i didn't get a chance to drive. However, it is not to sad, for Dad got stopped. (Dustin was sitting on Moms lap and Mom was sitting shotgun.) Dad only got a severe warning because we had not left the parking lot of the rest stop yet. But it was still scary; If I had been driving I might not have been able to drive till I was Eighteen.
We stayed at Essy's brothers home over the nights. It was a lot of fun but due to the long week - which included Grandpa's visiting and a milk can supper at Phil's - I was very glad to come home. On the way home we stopped in at the Niagara falls. We went on the boat ride there and on the way out the girls and I stopped and bought ourselves pretty necklaces. All the way up and back again Daryn was annoying due to boredom. We are nearly recovered now though and I hope to lead a normal life for at least a month now.

Grandpa's came this week! It was fun but it was a relief when they left. I wanted to get some time in as just normal this week before we go out to New York this weekend. Dustin didn't know grandpa's or Geneva ( who came with them) and only permitted them to hold him towards the end of there 2 1/2 day stay.
We will be leaving for New York early Sat. Morning and I wish I could drive. Dad say's he wished I could drive to but we will probably be pulling a trailer to tote the sound system. When we were at the creation museum we got these really good movies on (Du) creation and evolution. The message is good but the thing I like best is the way they present it. my favorite speaker is Bill Jack. He's a nut.
I wonder what like will be like next year? There are so many changes going this year......

Today I went swimming in Cold, Dirty water. Yuk! But it was ok, (I guess). I sewed the rest of the day, wich was fun but rare. I don't sew very often. I rather buy my clothes.
We have started running again, I like doing it because it makesme more energetic all the rest of the day. But it isn't enjoyable getting up earlyer than normal.
Dad said last night that he wants to start putting little instumental intro's and inter-ludes and post-ludes into our music. That is exciting because I get to learn Celtic Jigs to play in-between parts of songs. I have this pet wish to learn to play violin like Mairade Nessbit from Celtic Women. She has such a joyful, spirit about her. Sarah Sommers, my violin teacher, is on a trip across the pond so I will not be haveing Violin lessons until Sept. However I shall be practicing very hard because I want to get ahead of myself. Ha, Ha, but it's true. I have this encredibal urge to get into my forth Suzuki book and my thirde Strings book.
This is really wierd but I am suddanly looking forward to fall and school. I haven't looked forward to school for like, three years.

Hi, recently I have been doing O.K. My garden finally got all weeded last week, but yesterday I went out and looked at it and it needs weeded again.
I got some really splendid picts. of my garden and maybe I'll post them sometime soon.
We went to a Paul Wilber concert last week. It was very good. It sparked something in dads heart and he has begun to preach again. It is all good.
Dustin Is thee cutest kid in the world! Last week he was fussy ,fussy, fussy, but last night Dad blessed him and today he sparkled and glowed all over.
I have decided to take up drawing again. I've always had the gift but never really used it. Since Heather took lessons she is better than me but I think I'll be just as good.
Colleen, I am thinking about getting a distiller with my own money. Dad may get it for me but right now it doesn't look like it. If you would donate, It could be both of ours but I would still lend it to you if you didn't. Just a suggestion, I don't necessarily need your money.

  • Hi, As you know by now we just got back from some meetings up at Red Hill Farms with a speaker named Philip Fields. It was a lot of fun but thought provoking. Shelly, Daryn, Corky,Erica, and Tyler, became Christains, and were baptized along with Heather, and two of the Fields girls. As Daryn was being dunked Russel said, "I can swim by myfels."
Right before the baptism Shane was canoeing in the pond with Isaiah, the canoe tipped and they fell out. Shane can swim, but the life jacket Isaiah had on didn't keep his nose above water; though Shane tried to swim to shore with Isaiah, it was too far. He started shouting for help. Phil, and Philip ran for the pond, Phil, shedding shoes and cell-phone as he ran. He dived in with Philip right behind him. Phil got Isaiah and Philip got Shane as he started sinking. Shane said afterwards that he was finished, his strength was gone, by the time the guys got there. It was quite a scare and it took a while for the shock to wear off.
As for what I got out of the weekend, I'm still digesting it all. It was a lot of the same that I had been hearing from God and trying to walk out. I guess I feel that what I have been trying hopelessly to conquer is actually conquerable now.I think there Is more to it than I am seeing right now though, so I guess I'll wait and see.
